ImageTo make the gas cylinders, I used 2 feet of a 2 inch diameter pvc pipe, top of a plastic bottle and then a 3/4 inch diameter T shape pvc pipe.

That’s all I have for now! Less than a week till Anime Expo 2014 and I’m still not done with my set, let alone the girlfriend’s set. Hopefully we can finish this weekend!

Cosplay Project 2014

With Anime Expo ’14 and Comic Con coming up, I decided to “attempt” to make my own 3D Maneuver Gear from the anime/manga series, Attack on Titan. I wouldn’t call this a tutorial but more like a glimpse of my ideas and efforts to make my cosplay.

ImageI decided to make a cardboard box for support then the outside with plastic sheets to give it a cleaner look.

It was an honor to be your friend over the years. I won’t forget how you were always friendly to me when I pledged, as an active and even when I started dating your Big. You’ll be missed very much, even your constant teasing of me . Hot Pot night won’t be the same without you. Rest in Peace Kristine Anglim.

Don’t worry about us, we’ll be fine. It’s going to be hard for awhile but we’ll try to visit you often. ❤ This isn't a goodbye but a see you later~

Add-Ons to Last Post

So I re-read my last post and realized I was still very sick and had taken quite a bit of medicine while writing that so I apologize if half of it doesn’t make sense. I would like to add one more resolution to my short list. One that I realized I really need to make as I was having dinner with a friend a couple nights ago. It suddenly dawned on me that I’ve been pushing most of my friends away with the same excuses such as “I have an odd work schedule/days” or “I’m busy studying” or “I have too much to do with the CCS program to have time for anything else.” Well now that I’m done with the program and able to use Time-Off-with-Pay, I feel now I should try to reconnect with many of my friends. At the very least, if friendships have fallen apart, I won’t be as hard on myself for not trying.

Resolution #2: Reach out to visit and see my friends more this year

Still recovering from my cold. It seems to have hit many of my co-workers but I suppose I got lucky since I didn’t get a fever or lose my voice. Remarkably, running has actually helped push my sickness and congestion away, at least while I’m running. I am getting a little nervous for the Surf City Half Marathon that is quickly approaching but we’ll be doing a practice run this Sunday at the Santa Monica Winter Blast 15K. I hope all goes well! ^^;;

Oh Kari is now on Instagram. You can follow her at “kari_shibaroo” for all of Kari’s cute pictures and shenanigans I’ll be capturing on my phone. Here’s one!

Welcome 2014

So much has happened this past year, I don’t even know where to begin. I am glad that I kept this blog so I could keep track of what I did in 2013. Looking at my resolutions, I know I didn’t keep up the blogging one. Well this year, I’ll keep my resolutions short and simple.

1. Run all three beach city half marathons: Surf City, OC and Long Beach

That should keep me busy all through the year. Oh and I’ve been trying to set up my new phones. Woot finally getting rid of T-Mobile. I finally got a Samsung Note 3 and iphones for my family.

Upgraded from Froyo to Jellybean. Samsung Galaxy S to Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Very happy with it so far although I’m still trying to personalize it to my style.

Here’s to a new and healthy year!

Wishlist

Another wishlist! This time, it’s for things I want to get, but not need, after I start getting my CCS paychecks that is.

  1. Tinted windows on Luna
  2. The two new Un-stealthy Ninja shirts on Woot that I don’t have
  3. Some form of fitness band that’s not too bulky but informative (Nike fuelband looks cool but I just don’t like the point format)
  4. XL Gaming mouse pad
  5. Anime Expo Pass and hopefully, a Comic Con Pass
  6. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 + 3 Iphones for the family
  7. Last and most importantly, parts to build my new desktop!

All in due time… =]
